YANCOVITCH Isabella ( nee Paulsyte)
Passed away peacefully on September 7th , 2002 just 4 months after celebrating her 100th birthday.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Hyman Yancovitch and her parents Eric Bruno Paulsyte and Mani Jacobi Paulsyte.
Isabella was born in Lithuania and spent most of her earlier years in Austria before immigrating to North America after the war. She eventually settled in Montreal where she met her future husband. They were married in 1951 and spent many happy years together until his death in 2007. During their retirement, they travelled extensively, making new friends throughout the world, many with whom she maintained a regular correspondence until recently.
A generous and elegant lady of exquisite tastes who loved to entertain and always enjoyed a lively conversation, Isabella will be sorely missed by her many friends both here and abroad.
She will be buried in the St-François-Xavier cemetery in Iles de la Madeleine where she will reunite her husband.
Isabella was a devoted member of the Church of the Ascension of Our Lord (375 Kitchener, Westmount, corner Sherbrooke West) where her friends will gather to remember her on Sunday, October 23rd at the 10:30 am Mass. All are welcome.
