Winston Calvin Bishop
1943-2022
Winston Calvin Bishop, 79, of Moncton passed away peacefully
on December 24th, 2022 at the Faubourg du Mascaret -Shannex Home in
Moncton.
Winston was born in Moncton on May 15th, 1943 the son of
the late Calvin L. and Gladys (Steeves) Bishop.
Winston had many jobs over the years, working at Lounsbury
Furniture, the Gypsum Mill in Hillsborough, Adesa Auctions
and Moncton Foundry before he retired. He was a jack of all
trades and also enjoyed cars. In his younger years
he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. In his later years he
enjoyed watching Coronation Street and other soap
operas. He loved his family and they were his
life. His children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren would visit him regularly and this would always brighten
his day.
Thank you for giving from the heart, for hours of
hard work and thousands of things you did for your family that may
have gone unnoticed. We Love You.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Eleanor (O’Hara)
Bishop of Moncton; daughters, Karen Rossiter of Lower Cape, Linda
Davis (Phillip) of Moncton and Susan Bishop (Albert) of Stoney Creek;
sons, Karl Bishop (Rachel) of Upper Coverdale and Calvin of Moncton;
his treasured grandchildren, Kim (Wes), Samantha (Jeff), Ryan (Sasha),
Cody (Emilie), Tara (Dustin) and Logan (Kayla); his cherished great
grandsons, Jayden, Ashton and Jayce; sisters, Elizabeth
“Betty” Dukeshire of Brantford, ON, Ruth Bishop of
Hillsborough; brother, Lyall Bishop (Cynthia) of Oshawa, ON.
He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, George
and brother-in-law, Bob Dukeshire.
There will be a time of visitation and sharing memories
with the family as we celebrate Winston’s life on December 31st, 2022
from 1-3pm at the Albert County Funeral
Home.
Donations to the charity of the donor’s
choice would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
The family would like to say a special thank you
to the staff at the Faubourg du Mascaret as they were so good to
Winston and made him feel comfortable. The nurses were so
caring, the kindness shown and the support given will never be
forgotten.
