Obituary of William Charles “Charlie” Rankin
Passed away at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Thursday May 26, 2022 at the age of 71, of R.R. #1, Midland. Beloved and cherished companion of Debbie Hamilton. Loving father of Jim Rankin (Melissa Laughlin) of Coldwater. Loving and proud grandpa of Stefani Ellen Rose Rankin and Olivia May Hawkins. Dear brother of Betty Finan (Denis), Linda Woodrow, George Rankin (Judy), Patsy Brown, Sandra Vivian (Val) and Barbara Jermey (Peter). Also survived by his brother-in-law Howard Silk and sister-in-law Marlene Rankin. Predeceased by his parents Velma and Charlie Rankin of Jarrett, by his siblings John, Leona Silk, Jim, Archie, Margaret Ann, and Howard, and by his brothers-in-law Art Woodrow, and Bill Brown. Following cremation a celebration to honour Charlie’s life will be held at the Coldwater Legion on Friday June 10th from 12noon until 3pm. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Charlie may be made to the War Amps or to the Orangeville Junior A Northman Lacrosse Team and may be made through the funeral home.
