William Murray Harrison
It is with a heavy heart, that I have to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved William Murray Harrison on October 14, 2022 in Selkirk, Manitoba at the age of 79.
Murray grew up in Stonewall, Manitoba. He married his wife Thelma in 1975 and together raised 5 children and one grandchild. Murray was an avid gardener who always had big gardens, and a love for trees, having planted multiple around their family home, which he took great pride in. Murray was a very strong willed, kind hearted man, who worked very hard putting in lots of overtime hours at the Selkirk Rolling Mills. In his spare time Murray enjoyed tinkering around in the garage, or around the yard fixing various projects. He enjoyed going on family road trips to bc, for the fresh fruit, or meeting up with friends for coffee at Tim Hortons. Murray is predeceased by his wife of 41 years Thelma Harrison, his parents Mary and John Harrison and his son Brian Harrison, he leaves behind his brothers Robert (Linda) Harrison, Harold (Jackie) Harrison, children, Kim (Andy) Brandson, Lynn (Brandon) Szalai, Kenneth Harrison, Christina Harrison, his granddaughter Savana (Kyle) Harrison whom he raised from birth along with 9 other grandchildren, Mandy (Blair) Brandson, Nathan Brandson, Alex Harrison, Michael (Jenna) Szalai, Sean (Tina) Szalai, Peyton (Brandon) Waytiuk Lee, Khloe Waytiuk , Atley Lee, Dominick Harrison and 10 great grandchildren Max, Adam, Odin, Archer, Iliana, Ostara, Samantha, Aurora, Lexingten and Aspyn.
A celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday October 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Manitoba. An interment will follow at the St. George’s Wakefield Anglican Church, Clandeboye, Manitoba. The service will be livestreamed from a link in his obituary at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com.
