William Korotkov 19522022 avis de deces

William Korotkov
1952-2022
William Korotkov of Moncton, formerly of Hamilton, Stoney
Creek, and Grimsby, Ontario passed away at the Albert House Hospice on
August 17, 2022 after a four-month, courageous battle with brain
cancer. Bill was surrounded by his loving
family.
Born in Malartic, Quebec he was the son of the late Vasilije
and Eva (Ludwig) Korotkov. Bill grew up in Hamilton, Ontario which led
to residences in Victoria, British Columbia, and Calgary, Alberta.
Bill then returned to Hamilton after a couple years around 1979 and
then made Stoney Creek, Ontario and Grimsby, Ontario his homes,
respectively.
Bill was previously employed as a transport operator for
about 45 years. During much of this time, Bill was self-employed
(Knightscape Transport).
After several years operating a transport vehicle, Bill made
the decision to retire in Ontario and then shortly thereafter, move to
Moncton, New Brunswick in 2020 where nearby, his two brothers Peter
(Grand Digue) and David (Fredericton) made their homes. Bill would
often talk about how he would enjoy sitting on his front porch saying
hello to passersby while sipping on his coffee and playing with his
duck toller retriever, Toby.
For those who knew Bill, he was the kindest of souls. He
loved the good times, rock and roll, good friends, his dogs and cats,
the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He had a
fondness for helping animals, nature, family, and his neighbours.
Bill’s sense of humour would have easily captured you. Bill
was both Uncle and Honorary Uncle to so many people – he was
loved by so many. He was kind and was the ‘salt of the
earth.’
He will be dearly missed by his younger brothers David
Korotkov (Kimberly), Robert Korotkov (Veronica), and Peter Korotkov;
nieces Christina Korotkov, Samantha Korotkov, Stephanie Korotkov, and
nephew Bradford Korotkov. Bill will also be missed by his German
family.
Aside from Bill’s parents, he was predeceased by
aunt Ann Bryniak and grandmother Katharina
Ludwig.
Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview, New Brunswick (869-2007). A small service will be
held in the summer of 2023 in Hamilton, Ontario. Family and friends of
Bill will be invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Albert House
Hospice in Moncton, The Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, or People
for Animal Welfare (PAWS; Moncton). Online condolences may be
