Obituary of William John Howell
Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook on December 2, 2021, in the presence of his loving family, Johnnie Howell of Corner Brook, formerly of Northern Bay, age 71 years.
Predeceased by his parents: Cyril and Mollie Howell, and sister-in-law: Margie Howell.
He leaves to mourn, his wife: Donna; two sons: Jamie and Daron (Amanda), both of St. John’s, and special granddaughter: Tabitha; step-daughter: Deanna Webb (Jason); step-son: Jimmy Webb; step-grandson: Brendan Webb; three brothers: Aidan (Margie), Foxtrap, Pat, Northern Bay, and Chris (Cindy), Northern Bay; three sisters: Mary (Brendan White), Northern Bay, Betty (Bob Taylor), Tennessee, and Helen (Jerry Delaney), Burnt Point; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Noel Lanoix (Richard), Austin Patey (Bernice), and Chris Patey (Joan); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Johnnie had a distinguished career as an educator in the K-12 system and post-secondary system in various communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. He recently retired from Academy Canada in Corner Brook. Johnnie was a very caring, sociable and generous person to all who knew him.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, July 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay.
The family recommend that masks be worn during the visitation and funeral service.
