Obituary of William (Bill) Claude Fifield
Passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, William Claude Fifield, at the Palliative Care Unit in the Central NL Regional Health Center at the age of 75 years. He retired from Abitibi-Consolidated and was a member of the C.E.P. Local 63. He was predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Loretta Fifield and brother Wayne. He leaves to mourn his wife Barbara (nee Hayden); daughter Paulette Fifield. He had two special grandchildren whom he loved and cherished dearly. Jorja and Logan. He also leaves his two sisters: Gwendolyn, Myrtle and three brothers: Peter, Cecil and Watson and a circle of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at Hoskins Funeal Home, Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Please call 489-5100 to book visitation time slot. NLVax Pass and Photo ID will be required upon arrival.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions NLVas Pass and Photo ID will be required upon arrival for the funeral service and will be by invitation only. The funeral service will be conducted by Verley Roberts at Badger Community Church on Wednesday, January 26, 2020 with interment at the Badger Community Cemetery. Pallbearers are Logan Grimes (grandson), Hayward White, Robert Stuckless, Michael Stuckless, Tom Roberts and Bert Hayden.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Central Newfoundland Hospital who helped their father feel cared for and valued. Also, they would like to say thank you to the many friends they met there who are now considered to be their extended family for life.
