Obituary
William Robert Kellogg (Bill) who was affectionately known as “Pa” passed away unexpectedly in his 91st year at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. He is predeceased by the love of his life Yvonne (Marple). He is survived by his children Marlene Kellogg, Pat Kellogg (Roger), and Randy Kellogg (Susan), his grandchildren, Vicki Stephenson (Rob), Denise Hentz (Madison), Cory Kellogg (Deanna), Cody Kellogg, and Colton Kellogg, his great-grandchildren Brady, Billy and Johnny Stephenson, as well as his step-grandson Dan Belzile, and step-great grandson Preston Kellogg. Bill was cherished my many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Bill was born in Bowmanville, Ontario as the fourth oldest of six children to William and Frances Kellogg. He is survived by his older sister Barbara McPartlin (Gord 2012) and predeceased by his siblings Donald (Grace), Margaret, Walter and Laverne (Marcy). Their early years were spent in Prince Edward County where he continued to frequent his cottage and build lasting memories with his family.
Bill’s career as a millwright took him to Labrador City to work at the Iron Ore Company of Canada for five years. He eventually returned to Ontario where he settled his family in the heart of Iona Station and retired in 1996 from the Ford St. Thomas Assembly Plant.
Bill was the patriarch of the family, our fountain of knowledge, and the ultimate role model. He impacted many lives over the years.
Bill was a strong independent man, who spent much of his time outdoors shoveling snow, tending to his gardens, and cutting grass. He loved watching sports, and he also took great delight in crushing you at a good game of euchre or cribbage.
Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
For those who wish to pay their respects, a brief viewing will take place at the Arn Funeral Home 193 Shackleton St Dutton [519-762-2416] on Saturday, April 9,2022 from 11:30am – 12:30pm. A private service will be held for his family thereafter.
