Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, January 14, 2022, William (Bill) Golden of St. John’s, aged 96 years.
Predeceased by wife, A.R. Shirley (nee George); parents, Mary and George Golden; brother, Maxwell Golden; sisters, Rita Veley, Mary Follett, and infant sister, Velma Golden.
Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are daughters, Sharon (Al), Debbie (Bob), Kim (Daryl); grandchildren, Bill (Melanie), Lori (Darren), Harris (Angie), Chris (Erin), Shawna (Geoff), and Ashley (Mitchell); great-grandchildren, Beth (Ian), Kenny (Kaylee), Blake (Stevie), Alex, Jack, Flynn, Elias, and Hudson; great-great-grandchildren, Davin, Addison, and Rae-lynn; sister, Eleanor Wells; sister-in-law, Eva Eddy; he is also lovingly remembered by a number of other relatives and friends.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, the visitation and service to celebrate Bill’s life will be private. Masks will be mandatory and vaccine passport with photo ID will be required.
Cremation to follow with inurnment at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
