Dunn, William “Bill”
On February 16th, 2022, William “Bill” Dunn passed away peacefully in his sleep at the wondrous age of 99. Bill was born in Friesland, Netherlands January 12th, 1923, and was the brother to six siblings whom he loved dearly. He immigrated to the Port Perry area where he raised his family and lived the majority of his life. Bill retired at the age of 65 from Uxbridge Cottage Hospital and then took up volunteer work for the community. Lovingly known for being a crossing guard for 18 years. He was a friend and neighbor to all. He leaves behind his beloved sons Henry (Tracy), Albert, and John (Tracy). He was a patient man and loved his boys tremendously. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jenna (Lori), Desmond (Shannon), Nolan (Alanna) and Vince (Brianna). He was lucky to also have two great-grandchildren August Dunn and Lauren Dunn.
Bill was a huge animal lover. Throughout his years he had many spoiled dogs. His family would request that in lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Humane Society. A big thank you to the staff who cared for him and provided him support in his golden years at Caressant Care, Lindsay.
