OOSTERVELD, Wiebe “Ben”
Peacefully at Mt. Nemo Christian Nursing Home on Thursday, February 9, 2022 Ben was called home to Lord at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Hulleman) for almost 54 years. Loved father of Henry and Michelle Oosterveld, Margaret and Alfonso Cieri, Cindy and Steve Greenway, and Brenda and Mike McClung. Dear Opa of Michael and Shalun, Andrew and fiancée Laurel Brooks, Matthew, and Emily Oosterveld, Isabella Cieri, Alexis, Mackenzie, Sienna, London, and Brieanna Greenway, Christopher, Nicholas, and Samuel McClung. Loved brother and brother-in-law of †Clarence (†Leny) Oosterveld, Frances (†John) Ludwig , †Jean (†Art) Hordyk, Jackie (Art) Blokhuis, John (Sika) Oosterveld , Jack (Patti) Oosterveld, and Margaret (Henk) Riesebos, †Tineke (Jan) Riemer, Henk (Irene) Hulleman, Hennie (Limmy) Hulleman, Adrian Hulleman, Albert (Shirley) Hulleman, and John (Theresa) Hulleman.
Ben worked for many years as a truck driver for Bayshore Vegetable Shippers while also serving as caretaker for Fellowship Church in Burlington.
Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at EBENEZER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 607 Dynes Rd., Burlington on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11 a.m., Rev. Hilmer Jagersma officiating. Interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
