Wanda Lee Brogden Oglesby, age 88, of Knoxville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reece; her sons, Danny and Randy; her son-in-law, Ronnie Lewis; and her cherished siblings, Anne, Faye, and Jack.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Lewis; her son, Tim (Lora) Oglesby; her grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) Holbert, Jeremy Oglesby, Brook (Blake) Detelich, Clay Oglesby, Loren (Logan) Stuart, and Lindsey (Marcus) Harrell; and her great grandchildren, Reece and Riley Holbert; Molly, Penelope, and Lainey Detelich; Holden Harrell; and Tucker and Griffin Stewart.
Wanda was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church. A retired beautician, she enjoyed reading biographies and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, watching baseball, and shopping for a good deal with her dear friend Tippie. Wanda was an avid crossword puzzle solver who was always able to complete the Sunday puzzle.
The family will receive friends at Asbury United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:30 pm with a celebration of life and witness following at 2:00pm. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at Caledonia Cemetery immediately following the celebration of life and witness. Pallbearers are Jason Holbert, Clay Oglesby, Gordon Wayne Oglesby, John Reece Oglesby, Danny Griffey, Donny Griffey, and honorary pallbearer Gordon Oglesby.
