Wanda Jean DeBrabander Chute Thursday July 28th 2022

Unexpectedly at Victoria Hospital in London on Thursday, July 28, 2022, Wanda Jean (Chute) DeBrabander, of Tillsonburg and formerly of Straffordville passed away at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert “Bob” for 60 years. Proud and loving mother of her two daughters Margo Schooley and Heather Chick. Cherished grandma of Todd and Craig Schooley and Cameron and Nathan Chick and great-grandchildren Ethan, Ally, Dawsyn and Emmett Schooley. Predeceased by her parents Madison and Juanita Chute and her sister Lorraine Moore.
Wanda was born and raised in Straffordville and was employed as a bookkeeper. Wanda loved to bake and share it with family, friends and neighbours. It was an amazing day for her grandsons (and their roommates) when a “Grandma Wanda” care package arrived at their dorm. She was kind and giving and family was everything to Wanda. Her favourite times were when family was together. She also loved to volunteer at the Straffordville (Bayham) United Church. Friends and relatives will be received by Wanda’s family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The Memorial Service for Wanda will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Troy Van Ginkel officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Bayham United Church in Straffordville. Private family inurnment will be held at Straffordville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Bayham United Church would be appreciated by the DeBrabander family.
