It is with pride and deep love that we announce the celebration of a life well lived. Walter Clarence Palamar of Mount Hope at 66 years, beloved husband, father, step-father, brother, uncle and friend, entered into rest after a gallant battle with cancer, and with his devoted family by his side. He is lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of ten amazing years Sandra: children Brandy (Mike) Lindsay (Mark) Crystal (Jeffrey): step-children Jessica (Jesse) Kelly (John) and grandchildren Kylie, Wesley, Mason, and Marissa: brothers Tony, Gary (Lee), Peter (Carla) and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues in the Canadian Military, with whom he served for twenty-two years, and Transport Canada, with whom he worked for twenty-three years. He is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Walter. Also predeceased by his grandson Marcus Wilson.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the Homes for Heroes Foundation. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Joseph’s Home Care, Juravinski Cancer Centre, and Doctors Juergens and Shaw, his nurses Joanne and Kim, and to Allison DiFillipo, who all exemplified kindness and compassionate care.
