Voula Ligda Venieris
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Voula Ligda Venieris on May 12th, 2022, at the age of 83. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.
Voula was born in Elaiohori, Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1958. Once here she worked tirelessly to provide a better life for herself and eventually her family. It is here in Montreal that she met the love of her life, her late husband John Venieris, and married in May 1963. Together they had two daughters, Helen and Maria. Later on in life she also had two grandchildren, John-Dimitri and Alexi, who became here whole world. She will be remembered for her compassion, her strength in face of any adversity, her great work ethic, her fantastic cooking and most of all her devotion to her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Helen and Maria (George), her grandchildren
John-Dimitri and Alexi, her sister Agathi (Vasili) and her brother-in-law Nick,
Voula will be remembered in the hearts, thoughts, and prayers of the cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends that she has left behind.
Visitations at Urgel Bourgie/Athos 1255 Beaumont avenue, Town of Mount Royal, on Tuesday May 17th, 2022 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Funeral to take place on Wednesday May 18th, 2022 at St-Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 3780 Chemin du Souvenir, Laval, Qc at 11 a.m.
