It is with great sadness that we advise, Virginia Puim, passing in her 89th year. Virginia was born in Santa Maria, Azores on February 17, 1934. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Alfredo Puim which she married in 1951. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her children Joe Puim (late Sally) Tina Machado (Late Joe) and Tony Puim (Kim Ewing). She will also be missed by her grandchildren Gerry Puim (Kristie), Mike Puim (Tina), Matt Puim (Angela), Cindy Machado, Alfie Machado (Nicole), Jolene Bairos (Marco), Shannon Ewing (Julian Gooden), Shaila Ewing (Dan Cannon) and Stephanie Ewing (Cayle St Croix) and her great-grandchildren Austin Puim (Julia Mederios), Karissa Puim (Liam Pownell), Kyla Machado, Owen Puim, Adam McDonald, Joshua Puim, Hunter Machado, Cole St Croix, Cidalia Puim, Vincent Puim, Ryah St Croix, Joey Bairos, Dominic Puim, Alice Bairos. Virginia will also be missed by her sister-laws and her many nieces and nephews. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends will be received on Sunday August 21, 2022, from 7-9p.m. Prayers will be recited at 8p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Monday August 22, 2022, at 11a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. A special thank you to the staff on the 4th floor at Hill Top Manor, especially for the extra care that was given the last few months. We thank her for her wisdom, her courage, her tenderness, and compassion, her understanding and patience and her love; we thank you and love you Mãe and Avo.
