Violet Margaret Shostak
A Loving Wife, Mom and Baba. With our deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Violet Margaret Shostak (Turko) of Lamont, Alberta on February 7, 2022 at the age of 75 years.
Violet is survived by her daughters Stephanie (Paula) and Tracy; daughter-in-law Corinne; grandchildren Matthew and Sarah; sister Darlene Duke; brother Lawrence (Mary) Turko and numerous nieces and nephews.
Violet is predeceased by her husband, Steve; parents, Fred and Mary Turko; sister, Florence Parasynchuk; brother, Reggie; brothers-in-law, Edward Duke and Joe Parasynchuk.
The immediate family would like to express a special thank you to the staff and doctors at the Lamont Health Care Centre. Violet received exceptional care during her stay.
Divine Liturgy Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lamont, AB. Basilian Fathers officiating with interment in Church cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral and interment will be a private family event by invitation only.

In lieu of other tributes, in Violet’s memory donations may be made to the Lamont Health Care Centre – Patient Comforts (Air beds).
