VINCENZA FALLETTA (nee MACALUSO)
January 23, 1932 – November 28, 2022
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious wife and mother on November 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Devoted wife and soulmate of Gaetano for 71 wonderful years. Adored mother, Mother-(in-law) and best friend of Josie Christison (the late John) and Sandra Miranda (Manuel). Cherished and proud Nonna of Melissa Pagliari (Chris), Jeffery, Marco, and Daniella (Kevin). Bisnonna to her “gioielli” Aria and Isla who brought her so much indescribable joy.
Vincenza was predeceased by her parents Santo and Leonardo Macaluso. Brother and sisters, the late Calogero Macaluso (Alfonsa) the late Concetta and Salvatore Ippolito, the late Maria and Alfonso Calandra and the late Pina and Salvatore Senia.
She will be deeply missed by her sisters, sisters – in -law and brothers – in – law, Silvia and Alberto Manzi, Elvira Esposto (the late Calogero) Lina Aristomo (the late Santo) Beatrice and Mike Corno, Concetta Macaluso (the late Luigi) and Pina Falletta (the late Giuseppe).
She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy, Belgium, and the U.S.
Vincenza was the light of any room she entered and had the ability to fill the room with joy and laughter. Truly original with a fierce sense of humour. She will be fondly remembered for her beautiful singing, her amazing cooking and baking and her kind and selfless spirit. Above all, family was her world. The love she had for them was immeasurable. The world is a little dimmer now without her light.
Although Vincenza had countless life challenges, the strength, courage, and dignity she showed will always remain our inspiration. We are so blessed and thankful for the time we had with her.
The family would like to give special thanks to the PSW team for their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 BARTON STREET EAST) on Sunday December 4, 2022 from 4-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at All Souls Parish on Monday December 5, 2022 at 10 am with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
