Obituary for
Vilma King
On Saturday, November 5, 2022, Vilma King of Edmonton, formerly of Birmingham, England and Christ Church, Barbados passed away at the age of 78 years.
Vilma is survived by her children, Ann Elizabeth King of Edmonton, Mark Andrew King (Crystal Kerr) of Edmonton and Paul Gordon King of Grande Prairie; grandchildren, Sheridan King of Calgary, Ella King of Edmonton and Rowan King of Grande Prairie; siblings, Lyonet (Freddie) Allamby and Orpha (Bon) Watts, both of Ontario.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wyatt Gordon King; mother, Kathleen Allamby; and sister, Theora Bartlett.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, as well as her friends around the world.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, November 18, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel with Connie Kobylko officiating. Guests are invited to celebrate her life in fancy hats and colourful attire. In honour of Vilma, those wishing to share stories and sentiments will have an opportunity to do so; these stories will become a family keepsake, which will be shared upon request. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
The family gratefully accepts floral tributes, which may be directed to Park Memorial. With Vilma in your heart, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
