VICTOR DYCK
Victor Dyck born Sept 28 1934 passed away peacefully in his chair on Tuesday April 26th at the Poseidon Care Home. He is survived by Alvena his wife of 65 years, Children Reg (Anita), Joan Braun, Leanne Peters (Walter). Grandchildren Stacey (Dan), Allison (Darrell) Brendan (Kelli), Liam, Jade, Cabri. Great Grandchildren Alex, Janae, Madeline, and Rylan.
He is also survived by Brothers Henry (Betty) and Carl (Janice) Sister-in-law Alma (Albert), Brother-in-law Alfred (Donna) He was predeceased by sister Jane and Brother-in-law Nick and Sister-in-law Erica.
Victor was a person of faith, active in the Springstein Mennonite Church. Victor farmed with his family at Starbuck for most of his life and spent the last few years living in Oak bluff and Winnipeg. He drove school bus for 49 years and served on numerous camp, church and community boards.
Victor and Alvena have many close friends and family. In the last year Victor struggled with mobility issues and was relegated to a wheelchair.
Victor was always compassionate, and sought to find compromise and peace, he will be missed.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Springstein Mennonite Church. A time of sharing will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Private family interment will take place in Springstein Cemetery.
