Obituary of Vern Saar
SAAR, Vern – passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in his 100th year.
Verner Arnold Saar of Pembroke, husband of the late Joan Saar (nee Barrett). Dear father of Susan Carmichael (Carlos Gonzales), Port-Hope; Nancy McCann (Peter), Pembroke; Cathy Paradis (Brent), Smokey Lake, AB; Judy McCardia (Rick), Edmonton, AB; and Jayne Saar (late Frank), Edmonton, AB. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Margaret, Patrick, Kelly & Connor McCann, Travis and the late Taylor Paradis. Great-grandfather of 8. Predeceased by parents Arnold & Louise Saar (nee Sack) and by siblings Arthur “Art”, Theodore “Theo” & Marie Saar. Survived and missed by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Ray & Lyne Leclair who were always there for dad, checking in on him and caring for him which allowed him to stay in his home independently for as long as he did. Thank you.
Funeral service at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in the parish cemetery.
