Obituary
Verna May Abramson passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, with her family by her side. A Funeral Service will be held from the Chapel of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home on Monday morning, July 18th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.
Verna was born on January 4, 1924, in Revelstoke, B.C. and lived most of her life here. She was a devoted lifelong member of the Anglican Church. She was a long-standing member of the Senior Citizens’ Association, and the Moose Lodge. Verna was also very active with many community groups and associations. She was a devoted giver.
Verna was predeceased by her father James McMahon, mother Nettie McMahon, husband Arnold (Abe), son Danny and brother Melvin Boyd (Mickey). She is survived by two children: Amandah Tanner (David Plume) of Coquitlam and Melvin Abramson of Saskatchewan; daughter-in-law Cheryl Schier of Vernon; four grandchildren: Belinda, Sydney, Jenita and Madison; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law Lornita McMahon of Kelowna as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
