Obituary
LEMOINE, Timothy (Poppy)
1959 – 2021
Tim ‘Poppy” Lemoine, aged 61, of Carleton Place ON, beloved husband to Nancy Lemoine, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Tim was born to parents Arnold & Delores Lemoine in February 1959, in Ottawa, Ontario. As a young boy, Tim grew up in Ottawa’s west end. Graduating from Merivale Highschool. Tim played competitive hockey until he was 17, and loved the sport. At the age of 20, Tim bought his first Harley Davidson. A love of riding he kept until his last day. In 1983 Tim met Nancy, the love of his life at the famous “Capital House” hotel. Tim & Nancy have been married for 31 years. Tim was a faithful and devoted Husband to Nancy, his “babydoll”. He was most grateful for the family he and Nancy created. They have two sons, Andrew & Chad. Tim was a proud father and a simple man, who wanted nothing more than happiness for his family. Tim loves his boys. In 2009, Tim became a proud Poppy to Ava, and again in 2012 to Ashtyn. Tim’s granddaughters were the light of his life, and nothing in this world gave him more joy than watching them dance and smile.
Tim has many friends & colleagues at OC Transpo where he worked for 31 years, starting off driving the bus and later driving the train, which he loved. Tim has a special connection to music from his “Era”, and we will think of him each time we hear his favorite songs from The Beatles, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more. Tim had an aura that would light up a room, he will be so deeply missed and will forever live on in and through his family.
Tim is survived by his wife Nancy, Two Sons Andrew & Chad, Daughter-In-Law Amanda, Two Granddaughter’s Ava & Ashtyn, Sister-In law Deborah, Mother-In law Gwen, Brother-In law Cody (Mel), Two Nieces Christine (Keith) & Kayla (Elie), Sisters Sharon, Bev, Holly (Rocky), and Lynda (Bruce).
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass that will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place.
Donations should be made to yourself. Tim would often say the meaning of life is to give life meaning. Tim got to spend 61 years, 10 months, and 28 days on this earth. Make your time here count, make it special.
