passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at home on September 14, 2022 in his 80th year.
Survived by the love of his life Mary Teresa Cassidy (nee Freeman).
Dear father of Denise Cassidy (Terry Vilneff), Diana Cassidy-Bush (Allan Bush), Donna-Lee Bateman (Chad), Denver Cassidy (Rebecca), Dean Cassidy (Julie Kimball), Dan Cassidy (Jennifer) and late infant son Freeman Cassidy.
Proud grandfather of Liam & Rylee Vilneff, Rhegan & Brennan Bush, Brady & Madison Bateman, Shawn, Cohen & Drew Cassidy, Bruin Cassidy & Chloe Keating, Dyson, Dalton, Erin Cassidy & Ty Jenkins and great-grandson Beau Bateman.
Son of the late John Edmund Cassidy and Helen (LaJoie) & son-in-law of the late Bernard & Annie Freeman.
Brother of late Patrick Cassidy (Joan), Elizabeth Courneyea (Maurice), Carol Power (Mike), Jude Cassidy (Betty Lou), Jimmy Cassidy, Maureen Geen (Carl), the late Kathleen Cassidy & John Cassidy. Brother-in-Law of Frank Freeman (Pauline DeGenova), Edward Freeman (Monica), Sharon McComber (late Joe), Rose Marie Brown (Dale), Duane Freeman (Donna), the late Lois Farrell (Ron Hebden), Jeanne Manlow (Barry) and the late Gerard Freeman.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters in law – Ruth Cassidy & Monica Freeman, brother in law Richard Farrell, niece Rhonda Cassidy & nephew Curtis Courneyea.
Visitation will be held at St. Carthagh’s Catholic Church, 153 Hungerford Road, Tweed on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10 – 11am. Funeral Mass – 11:00am. Interment St. Carthagh’s Cemetery to follow. Everyone is welcome & encouraged to continue celebrating Tom’s life with refreshments and fellowship at the home of Tom & Mary – 423 French Settlement Road, Tweed
