Obituary
Therese Merna Beblow of Indian Head, Saskatchewan, formerly of Lestock, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022, at the age of 81 years.
Therese was born on April 21, 1941, on the farm near Lestock to Andre and Mary Nault. She married George Beblow on December 23, 1963.
Therese’s career included teaching at Edenwold’s country school, Coronation Park in Regina and Lestock; raising her family on the farm; substitute teaching at Lestock; librarian for a short time at Lestock School; teacher’s aide at Lestock and later Kelliher school. Therese reluctantly left the farm in February 2013 and moved to Indian Head which she grew to enjoy. Therese’s passions were snowmobiling in her younger years, gardening, cooking/baking, country music, reading, playing cards, sewing, and spending time with her family. Therese watched her own children play sports and loved every minute of it; when her grandchildren came along, she relived those memories through watching her grandchildren play many of the same sports.
Therese is survived by her husband of 58 years, George; son, Kelly (Leanna) Beblow, daughter, Jolene (Jim Schaeffer) Beblow; grandchildren: Drea, Jenna, Briel, Jaxon and Jacelyn; brothers, Dave, John, and Andy; sisters, Sarah, Lorraine, and Elaine; and many nieces and nephews. Therese was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Kurt.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Elks Hall, 401 Dewdney Street, Indian Head. Interment to follow at Indian Head Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Arthritis Society of Saskatchewan, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Therese Beblow.
