PERKLIC, THEODORA ‘THEA’ MAGDALENA (nee Wemmers)
It is with extreme sadness, the Family announces the passing of Thea Perklic, “Oma” to many at the age of 86. She passed away peacefully, with her Daughter by her bedside on Tuesday September 27, 2022 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Beloved Wife of the late Karl Perklic and loving Mom to Theo (Bonnie Bruce) and Edith (Don McMullen). Extremely loved and devoted “Oma” to Andrea McMullen (Scott Lavoie), Jenna Perklic, Delaney Perklic and great-grandmother to Sutton Lavoie and was thrilled knowing Sutton had a Baby Brother on its way in December. Survived by Brother Robert Wemmers (Edith Ford) and a special niece Hermine van Rijt (Holland). Thea was a long-time resident of Manotick Station, had a zest for life, just loved to tell stories, some of them over and over, loved being together with her Family and loved to laugh. She will be forever remembered by her loving Family and many Friends. The Family would like to thank the Staff at Longfields Manor Long Term Care Home for taking care of our Mom as well as a thank you to the Queensway Carleton and Ottawa Hospital for excellent care as well. A private ceremony will take place at a later date.
