Whitman, Thaxena “Tess” – 78, Pugwash, passed away August 18, 2022, at the Dr. Everett Chalmer Hospital, Fredericton, N.B. Born in Malagash she was a daughter of the late Thaxter and Harriett (Napper) Mattatall. Thaxena was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Branch 60, and had served as the Zone Commander and was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Silver Spray #1, Pugwash. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Pamela-Lynn (Donnie) LeDrew, Regina, Sask., and Patricia Irene (Glenn) Boulter, Oromocto, N.B; grandchildren, Anthony Aitken and Amy-Leigh Gould; Whitney Boulter and Bradley Boulter; great-grandchildren, Brook-Lynn and Jessa-Lynn; Abigail, Brody and Kaden; brother, Douglas (Gloria) Mattatall, Onslow; step-brothers, Ralph Wilson, Moncton and Kenneth (Lynn) Wilson, Malagash; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Kathleen Gladstone, Georgina Morash and Irene Myers. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Mundle’s Funeral Home, Pugwash. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice
