MacMillan – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
passing of Tara MacMillan, age 50, of Port Williams. Tara passed away
at home on Monday, November 21st, with her loving family at her
side.
Born in Digby, NS,
Tara was a daughter of Wilfred and Deborah Titus of Centerville, Digby
Neck.
Tara graduated from
Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began
her career at the IWK in Halifax. She later moved on to the Valley
Regional Hospital in Kentville before joining the vaccine team with
Nova Scotia Public Health.
In 2020 Tara decided
to make a career change and enrolled in Business Administration at
NSCC. Despite the challenges she endured this past year, she graduated
with honors in August 2022 and was the Gold Medal Award
recipient.
She is survived by her
husband Randy; sons, Titus and Gregor; sister, Dayna Titus; nieces,
Jenna Gosson, Selina Touesnard, and Selinda Touesnard; as well as
extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation as per her request. A
celebration of Tara’s life will be held in the summer of
2023, more details will be shared by family closer to that time.
Donations in Tara’s memory may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
