It is with sadness that
we announce the death of Sylvain Boudreau, at the age of 91, on Sunday
June 5, 2022, at the Castle Des Flots Bleus in Cap-Pelé.
Born in Cap-Pelé, he was the son of the late
Eddée and Florine (Landry)
Boudreau.
Sylvain worked for
Paturel’s Seafood Ltd for 25 years and then continued
working until retirement with Sea Tide Import & Export Ltd. He
loved diamond painting, reading, crafts and crossword
puzzles.
He is survived by his
seven children: Beatrice Proulx (Ronald) of Île-Perrot, QC,
Loretta Vautour (Alcide) of Bas-Cap-Pelé,
Thérèse Gaudet (Omer) of Memramcook, Ronald
(Lorraine) of Petit-Cap, Gilles (Ginette) of Portage, Noëlla
Vautour (Guy) of Cap-Pelé and Daniel (Lise) of Havelock;
two sisters: Marie-Jeanne René (late Gilles) of
Sainte-Catherine, QC, and Rita LeBlanc (Bob) of Moncton; 12
grandchildren: Annie, Jean-Francois, Pierre, Suzanne, Nathalie,
Jeremy, Samuel, Mélanie, Stéphanie, Isabelle,
Nicholas and Monica; several great-grandchildren, as well as nieces
and nephews.
Besides his parents, he
was predeceased by his wife, Dorice (LeBlanc) (2002); two brothers:
Eugène and Guy; one grandson, Jacky
Arsenault.
The family will receive
condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie
Road, Cap-Pelé on Thursday June 9 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9
pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15 am). The
funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérese d’Avila
Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Friday June 10 at
10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish
cemetery.
In memory of Sylvain, a contribution to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the
Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Cemetery would be
appreciated.
