Eden, Suzanne Marie
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Suzanne Marie Eden (nee Putnam) on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the age of 82. Loving wife of the late Karl and beloved mother of Patricia Eden (Lawson) and Susan Durant (Don). Dearest Grandmother to Alexander (Deanna), Suzanne, Robert and Valerie. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Cheryl Allen and nieces and nephews, Richard (Karen), Bob (Meg), Elizabeth (Jamie) and many friends. Suzanne loved her beautiful home and enjoyed hosting family and friends. She was an amazing wife and mother who always put her family first. She worked as a secretary at General Electric and a supply secretary for many years with the Hamilton Wentworth Board of Education. She adored children and loved listening to their sweet voices. Suzanne and Karl were long time members and instructors with Taoist Tai Chi Society of Burlington, where she made many lasting friendships. She easily made friends wherever she went. She was sure to put a smile on your face with her kind and genuine concern for everyone and her humorous life stories she would tell. She was a strong supporter of preserving our environment and the performing arts. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 12 noon until time of Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Niagara Escarpment Foundation, National Ballet of Canada or Taoist Tai Chi Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
