It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stirling Todd, on January 15, 2022, at the age of 53. A brave and strong fighter until his last breath, Stirling battled his cancer diagnosis with incredible courage and dignity. Stirling was a remarkably caring and selfless man who always put the needs of others before his own.
Beloved husband to Heather Hogarth-Todd and devoted father to Abigael Todd and Ainsley Todd. Son of Nan and Dan Todd of Shelburne and son-in-law of Ann and Bill Hogarth of Brampton. Brother of Lincoln Todd of Shelburne and brother-in-law of Scott Hogarth and Julie Alain of Parry Sound, and Laurie Ann Hogarth and Daniel Doolan of Caledon. Uncle of Jacob, Zachary and Noah Doolan, Liam Hogarth and Emilie Alain. Nephew to Jim and Marilyn Todd and cousin to Kevin Todd and Kelly Todd-Etherington.
Remembered fondly by his friends, neighbours, and colleagues, Stirling left a positive impact wherever he went. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Stirling. From spending an afternoon cutting the grass, cuddling with his dog Maisey, or a family meal at the Olive Garden, Stirling found joy in everyday activities. He loved helping others and did whatever he could to make someone’s life easier.
Stirling’s pride and joy was his family and nothing in life was more important to him. He was incredibly proud of his two daughters, Abigael and Ainsley, and enthusiastically supported every interest and activity they pursued. Family vacations to the beach and Disney World provided family memories and a legacy of love that will continue on.
Stirling was an intelligent and respected professional and made an impact in the Professional Planning community. His knowledge, friendship, and sense of humour will be deeply missed by his colleagues and work friends.
A special thank you to Sherry and Jennifer from Acclaim Health for their visits, care and comfort during his last months.
A celebration of Stirling’s life will be held at a later date when we can gather as a group to remember this remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, donations to “Movember Canada” would be appreciated.
