Stephen Patrick Nicholson

It is with great sadness that the family of Steve Nicholson, announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the age of 58 with the love of his family surrounding him.
He was the beloved husband for 35 years to his best friend, Anne Marie Nicholson (Kelly). He was the proud father to Caley (Greg) Harmon and Brendan (Jessica) Nicholson, and cherished grandfather to two grandchildren, Everly and Patrick Nicholson.
Steve owned a successful concrete business for many years. Steve lit up every room he entered with his infectious laugh and hilarious stories.
Steve was born in Stratford on February 6, 1964. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph (1997) and Angela (2017) and infant brother Patrick.
Steve is survived by his five brothers: Leo Nicholson (Julie), Joseph Nicholson (Jaynie), Peter Nicholson (Karen), David Nicholson and Paul Nicholson. Steve will be lovingly remembered by each of his nieces and nephews. Steve had many close friends who will greatly miss him as well.
Friends and family are invited to Steve’s visitation on Wednesday, October 19 from 5-8 pm at W.G. Young Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, October 20 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron St, Stratford, at 10 AM. Those who wish to join the family from their home can do so by clicking view livestream under Steve’s obituary on the funeral home website. Interment to follow at St. Vincent de Paul cemetery in Mitchell. Following the internment, all are welcome to a celebration of Steve’s life at the Westover Inn, 300 Thomas St, St. Marys.
The family would like to thank the incredible staff with the Huron Perth Palliative Care Outreach Team, CarePartners team and the staff at SGH Chemotherapy unit who provided excellent care to Steve.
