Stephen Joseph Savoie 1950 2022

It is with great
sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen J. Savoie, 71, of
Moncton, NB, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Born in
Legaceville, NB, he was the son of the late Edna (Savoie) and DeVere
Barbour.
Stephen was a great family man, always
ready to help his girls and his grandkids. He is survived by
his wife Beth of over 41 years, his two daughters, Amanda Savoie and
Sheena (Rowland) Burlock, three cherished grandchildren, Jaiden, Kaila
and Gabriel; two brothers, Calvin (Lorna) Barbour, Paul (Lynn)
Barbour; two sisters, Linda (Nael) Nabout, Charlotte (Carl)
Fitzsimmons and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family
members.
Stephen always seemed to know someone
everywhere he went, that probably had something to do with his working
at Economy Glass for 35 years. Stephen loved NASCAR and
fishing and more recently got into bass fishing which he enjoyed in
his retirement.
The family will be hosting visitation
at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm followed by a
Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm. Pastor Paul Leger to lead the
service from Fergusons Funeral Home
Chapel.
Those attending will be asked to
provide proof of vaccination, wearing a mask is mandatory while inside
the funeral home.
If so desired, memorial donations in
Stephen’s memory can be made to Friends of the Moncton
Hospital Foundation (Cardiac Unit). Online condolences can
