It is with heavy hearts the family of Stephanie Leigh Nash of
St. Mary’s First Nation announces that she has begun her
journey to the spirit world on July 5th, 2022, at the age of
41.
Stephanie was born on January 23rd, 1981 and is the daughter
of Linda Nash and The Late Gordon Nash. She is also survived by her
brothers & sisters – Josh (Kristen), Jaimie (Steve),
Jeremy, Shey (Jeremy) & Kel (Tom). Nieces and Nephews Alyssa,
Caleb, Addison, Kaden, Triton, Declan (godson), Blayke, Kolten,
Dalton, and Great-Nephew Sawyer. She is pre-deceased by her sister
Shannon Nash, Grandfathers Stephen Nash, Alva Dunn and her Godparents
Dorothy Hansen and Warren Sacobie.
Anyone who knew Steph had a special kind of love for her. Her
smile would light up any room she entered. She also had a remarkable
memory and could recall people from years past, not to mention every
number in the phone book from A to Z. Steph enjoyed writing notes,
playing cards, and the game trouble. She was well known to beat anyone
she faced in a game of Skip-Bo. She was also VERY adamant about not
smoking, drinking, or having more babies. You could find Steph
enjoying a cup of Tim’s coffee, doing word searches or
painting in her free time.
Steph will be resting at the Maqiyahtimok Community Centre at
240 Maliseet Drive in St. Mary’s First Nation. Visitations
will begin Thursday July 7th, 2022, at 7PM until Saturday at 12PM. A
celebration of Steph’s life will begin at 2PM with her
burial service at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. A reception will
follow the interment at the Maqiyahtimok Community
Centre.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Nash, Jason Nash, Catlin Nash,
Brandon Nash, Caleb Nash, Jeremy Booker, Tom Solomon & Chad
Solomon.
