Obituary
Sid was born August 17, 1961, in Dinsmore, SK and moved with his family to Edson in 1974. Sid did his schooling in Edson and participated in many activities around town. After meeting Glenda, they married on November 12, 1988, and he became the proud dad of 4 kids! 2 girls and 2 boys! His favourite CFL team was the Saskatchewan Roughriders and he cheered them on every year no matter what, he even put a float in the Edson Santa Clause Parade the year they won the Grey Cup. He loved farming and his family was lucky enough to have freezers full of beef every year. Family was the most important thing to Sid, and he loved them deeply. After a battle with cancer, he passed away August 23, 2022, in Edson, AB with his wife by his side. He is loved and survived by his wife Glenda Siwak. His children Kari (Cam) Shand, Denay (James) McMorran, JD (Samantha) Kehler and Joffrey (Ashley) Kehler. His 13 grandchildren-Shelbe (Mike) Williams, Haylee (Scott Finner) Shand, Paige Shand, Aiden Mcmorran, Ethan McMorran, Abby Mcmorran, Alex McMorran, Kaleb Kehler, Brock Kehler, Charleigh Kehler, Knox Kehler, Huxley Kehler and Krew Kehler. Great grandchildren Brixtyn Finner, Charlie Williams and baby Finner (October). He has 3 sisters- Brenda (Vern) Sollid, Colleen (Jason) Shea, Marilyn Siwak, one brother Ron (Rhonda) Siwak and sister – in – law Cheryl Siwak. There are also numerous nieces, nephews and extended family that he loved so much. He was pre – deceased by his parents, Mike and Eileen Siwak, Glenda’s parents, Arthur and Edith Sarin and his brother Fred Siwak.
The celebration of Sid’s life will be held on Saturday August 27, 2022, at 1PM at the Edson Legion in Edson, AB.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Haying in the 30’s Cancer Support Society.
