The family of Shirley Deans announce her passing on Sunday July 24, 2022. She was 91 years of age and left us peacefully without any pain or suffering at Brentwood Care Centre in Calgary where she resided for the past 3 months.
Shirley Joan Deans (nee Witwer) was born on April 8, 1931 at the hospital in Trochu, Alberta.
She will be sadly missed by her entire family; her children, Gord (Pat) Deans, Joanne (Lynn) Frizzell ; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, Christie (Derrick), Freddie & Frankie Newman, Heather (Marcin), Feliks & Theo Partyka, Scott (Tori), Vince & Colin Deans, Courtney Deans, Paul (Lisa Nielsen) & Jameson Frizzell, Megan (Kyle), Charlotte and Gabe Laudel. She is also survived by her sister, Elaine Stewart of Calgary and her brother-in-law, John Laing of Enderby, BC plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks for the many years of love and support shown by the nursing and support staff at the Lodge at Valley Ridge of Calgary. We know how much Mom was loved there.
There will be a Celebration of Life for both Mom & Dad in Three Hills at a later date.
Thanks for all the calls and messages of support from friends and family.
If you’re so inclined, please raise a glass and offer up a toast to this kind and generous lady. She will always be missed, and never forgotten. May she Rest in Peace.
