Firle “Shirley” Leanora Frank (nee Inglis) passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on Friday, April 1st, 2022, with her family at her side. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Revelstoke Royal Canadian Legion Hall (upstairs) on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at 11 a.m.
Shirley was born in Vernon, B.C. on May 12, 1951, and was a long-time resident of Revelstoke. She was a beloved primary teacher in Revelstoke for many years and was still involved in the “Roots of Empathy” program locally. Shirley enjoyed yoga, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. She was a long-time active member of the Revelstoke Rotary Club. Shirley was a member of the Revelstoke Genealogical Society and she also volunteered with the Revelstoke Emergency Support Services. Shirley liked to garden, even though she claimed to have a black thumb and was continually puttering and always had something on the go. She loved her motorcycle adventures with Gordon, as well as riding with her daughter Heather and son-in-law Glen, and with the local HOG group. She and Heather shared a love of Country Music and they looked forward to attending concerts together.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Firle Inglis and her son Justin. She is survived by her partner Gordon Hall of Revelstoke; daughter Heather (Glen) Dorken of Nanoose Bay; sister Alix Cleverley (Greg) of Black Creek; brothers: Tony (Deb) Inglis of Vernon and Brett (Ronnalie) Inglis of Calgary; brother-in-law Michael (Margaret) Hall of Victoria; sister-in-law Glenda Hall of Edmonton as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many great friends.
