Passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, Shirley Annette (Nettie) Peckford ( Nee: MacDonald ), age 78.

Sisters in law, Joan ( Harold) Collins, Ada and (Don ) Ralph Remembered fondly by her many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Close Friends.
Nettie served in the Canadian Armed Forces for many years. Where she was posted to Camp Borden, Ottawa, ( where she met Gordon), and North Bay, Ontario. Then finally to Gander, where she and Gordon raised their two children Greg and Beth.
Returning to work as a civilian at the base in Gander for 12 years.
She had many passions, such as Fishing, reading and spending time gardening or beach combing at their cottage in Gander Bay. Always in the company of Gord, you rarely saw one without the other.
Many kind thanks to special friends, Iris Newman, Betty Wall, Marg Brown, and Bruce and Mondola Gibbons. Also, Rev. James Beaton for his many kind visits.
Greg Banfield ( Palliative Care Nurse ) For his guidance and expertise.
There will be no visitation ( cremation has taken place) , or service at this current time. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date. To be determined.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following. The Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Association, or the Lung Foundation. Or of any charity of one’s choice.
