Obituary of Sherman Campbell
Sherman Campbell (1946-2022). His body of this world may have failed but his heart and spirit was strong.
Sherman Ralph Campbell a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend too many, passed away quietly in his sleep on the morning of November 18, 2022. He is survived by his wife Connie; his daughters Shelley Campbell (Doran Ingalls) and Karen Hanson (Trevor Hanson); son Joseph Campbell (Ivy Campbell); and, his three grandchildren, Rowan, Bodhi and Sierra.
For the last twenty five years, Sherman has resided in Calgary, Alberta, but his home (heart) was always on the farm in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. It was there that Sherman was born on April 4, 1946 to Grant and Lillian (Tattrie) Campbell of Scotsburn; and, there that he and Connie raised their three children. Sherman lived his life always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. As a father and grandfather, he was a loving teacher who passed on his knowledge and experiences, wanting his children to be successful in their own lives. As a friend, he was kind and always willing to offer whatever he could no matter what the situation might have been. He enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends and the last couple of years you could often find him sitting in his favourite chair talking for hours on his phone.
Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Sherman managed his illness with strength and grace and wanted to spend his final days with his family who will miss him dearly and never let him be forgotten.
His funeral service will be held 11 am on Saturday, December 17 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn with the Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
