Sheila Colter 1941 2022

Colter, Sheila Selena – 81 of Union Corner, passed away on August 20th, 2022, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Halifax on August 10th, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Wheatley) Anthony.
Sheila loved keeping busy and giving to the people she cared about; through knitting slippers and baby blankets for friends and neighbors and providing delicious baked goods. She loved the summers spent here in Nova Scotia but was always eager to get to her winter paradise in Florida. Sheila loved her family dearly and kept her grandchildren especially close to her heart. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her but never forgotten.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 62 years; Donald “Donnie”, daughters Karen (Brian) Valliere of Connecticut, Lynda Colter (Jeff Crossley) of Bramber, grandchildren Michael, John, Scott, Samantha, Emma (Jaden Chandler) and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Sheila is predeceased by, siblings Robert, Beverly and Elizabeth Ann.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, August 25th, 2022, in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 to 8pm.
Donations in memory of Sheila can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
