Sheila “Peggy” Thorne of Waterford, Ontario
July 31, 1950 – July 8, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy announce her passing at home. Peggy was in her 72nd year and will be forever missed by her loving husband Doug and daughter Krista (Matthew). One of Peggy’s greatest joys is her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin and Eleanor. Peggy is predeceased by her daughter Jennifer, parents Anne and Danny, in-laws Mary-Lou and William and brothers-in-law John and Howard. Peggy, known for her radiant smile, will be grieved by her family and friends. Peggy worked with children throughout her career, including R.E.A.C.H. where she described her “clients” as the cutest kids in Norfolk and Haldimand Counties. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. For those wishing, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
