Obituary
Sheila Elaine Bibby, nee Buchanan, died peacefully after a brief illness in the Salmon Arm hospital on Monday, July 4th, 2022.
Born to parents John and Louise in Aberdeen, Washington she had 5 sisters, Janice, Terri, Gail, Barbara and Linda. She lived throughout the US eventually moving to Canada in 1988.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years Jack Bibby, and her daughters Laurie (Jack) Eckersley and Tammy Clarkson and step-children Pam Borghardt and David (Denise) Bibby.
She will be deeply missed by her 11 grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Curtis, Danika, Kyle, Kayli, Brandon, Candice, Christopher, Kayla and Kiara and her two great-grandchildren Nathan and Cameron.
Her career with Interior Health in Home Support spanned more than 20 years. She delighted in sewing, gardening, canning and baking and was especially known for her amazing birthday cakes. She enjoyed her community, volunteer work and fundraising and was very active in the Salmon Arm Legion including being a past president and chairperson of the annual Poppy Campaign.
Her larger than life personality, hilarious costumes and infectious laugh will forever be remembered by all of the family and friends who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Elks Hall in Salmon Arm, 3690 30th Street, Salmon Arm.
