Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Forest Heights Long Term Care at the age of 79.
Beloved wife of Terry Dickson, having celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 1. Loving mother of Shannon (Paul Hauck), Edward (Kim), Brian (Lisa) and Steve (Valerie Johnston). Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Denise (nee Fackoury). Proud Grandma of Spencer, Wendell, Rachel, Taylor, Haley, Ryan, Bennett, Adam and great-grandmother of Gavin. Dear sister of Jack Smith (deceased), Eleanor Ledingham, Elfreda Morrison (deceased), Kathleen Feltis (deceased), Marcella Post (deceased), Carol Ransom, MaryAnn Kain, Ken Smith, Jim Smith, Lloyd Smith, Robert Smith, Marlene Meloche and Debbie Martin. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families.
Sheila worked for many years for the Board of Education at Cameron Heights cafeteria. She loved music, dancing, golfing, crocheting and knitting. Her retirement was spent enjoying her grandchildren and winters in Florida.
Sheila’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519) 749-8467. Refreshments will be served.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society Ontario would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
