Shamsi Samivand 2022

Shamsi passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at home in LaSalle; surrounded by her loving family and friends, at the age of 58. She was born on February 9, 1964, in Shiraz, Iran, the daughter of the late Mohammad Samivand and Ferdows Ghasemkhani. In 1987, she came to Canada following her brothers into a new life. There she met the love of her life Esi Albonaimi. They married on September 2, 1996. Alongside her husband, she helped to run his consulting business as well as care for their three daughters and take care of the household. Shamsi made time to see her “coffee chicks”, her friends, and visit family in Toronto, Los Angeles, and back home in Iran. She loved to garden and go on nature walks, following the many trails around her home. Shamsi was very adventurous and loved to travel, shopping as she went. She passed along her wonderful cooking and love for exercise.
Shamsi is precedeceased by her parents and her brother, Shahryar Samivand. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of twenty-six years, Esi Albonaimi of LaSalle; her three beautiful daughters, Saya (fiance Khalil Siblani) Albonaimi, twins Ava and Asa Albonaimi all of LaSalle; her two sisters, Shahla Samivand and Afsar Samivand both of Iran; her three brothers, Shahsavar Samivand of Iran, Shahram Samivand of Los Angeles and Shahrokh Samivand of Toronto; along with many nieces, nephews and her beloved cat Topolee.

  1. I was shocked to hear from a previous employee yesterday that Shamsi Samivand passed away.Shamsi worked for me for a number of years as a dental assistant while in Toronto. She was a had working, honest funloving , caring individual.Through her I had the opportunity to treat her brothers and their families and it was a pleasure. Since she moved to Windsor, I have never seen her again so I have never had the pleasure of meeting her immediate family. So to them I say my deepest condolences for someone gone to soon
