Obituary of Sensei John Joseph Donovan
(Founder of Belleville Karate & Jiu-Jitsu Martial Arts Club) ~ It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Joseph “Jack” Donovan, on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, at the age of 87. Predeceased by his beloved wife Thomaseena Joan Donovan (nee LaRue). He will also be forever loved by his 8 children; James Donovan of Balmertown, Victoria Casson of Windsor, Jacqueline Soule (Jeff) of Brighton, Tom Donovan, Deborah Kingsman, Cynthia Soule, Carl Donovan, and Steven Donovan (Karen) all of Belleville. He was the proud grandpa to Brent, Tyler, Michelle, Justin, Josh, Joey, Jason, late Tanya, Maelande, Natalie, and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers; Dutch, Ron, and Gord, and by his sisters; Barb and Patty. A Private Graveside Service will be held at St. James Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Belleville Karate & Jiu-Jitsu Martial Arts Club (by cheque) bkjj.org, would be appreciated by the family.
