Scott Moir 2022

Moir, Scott passed away peacefully at the age of 70 in Scarborough on April 17, 2022.
Predeceased by his parents Grace Mary Moir (nee Lee) and Stewart Moir. Scott will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Maryanne, Janet (Tom) and Carrol (Warren) as well as his extended family and friends.
Scott began his love of music with a leading role in the operetta H.M.S. Pinafore in elementary school. He learned to play the piano by ear. After his retirement he began taking formal lessons. His all-time favorite instrument was the guitar. He loved playing the guitar and collected many guitars over the years. In high school he learned to play the flute and travelled to Japan with the school band to perform at OSAKA ’70.
Scott was a master electrician, joining the quarter century club after working for 25 plus years at the CNE. During his employment at the CNE he indulged his love of music by attending numerous performances at the Bandshell.
Scott was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

  1. So sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. He did indeed enjoy all the concerts at the CNE. He was always interested in knowing who was booked at the Bandshell. I saw him last during the 2019 fair. My sincerest condolences to the family.

  2. Condolences to Scott’s family. I was heartbroken to hear of his passing just a little over a month ago. He was a great brother-in-law to me. Until we meet again on the other side where I’ll see your handsome face, smile, laughter and listening to you play your guitar with all of your heart. RIP dearest Scott.
