It is with extreme sadness that the family of David John Sauvé, announce his passing in his 73rd year on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Simcoe Hospice, Barrie, Ontario.
The beloved son of Philip and Frances Sauvé; best friend and loving husband of Mary (Doherty) of forty-six years, proud father of Terry and his wife Chelsie, and much loved by his brother Daniel Sauvé (2021) and his wife Lynda, and his sister Mary Pernokis and her husband Jim.
Forever missed by The Doherty Family: Dennis & Donna Doherty, Roger Doherty, Chris & Walter Kalka, and Kevin & Louise Doherty.
Loving Uncle of Michael & Lisa Pernokis, Alison & Dave Jordan, Amy & Kevin Cowan, Garry Sauvé, Shannon & David Sweeney, Clare Doherty, Bridget Doherty, Patrick Doherty, Michael Doherty, Jason Kalka, Brendan Doherty and Jackson Doherty.
He will also be missed by his many great nieces and nephews, the Doherty Family of Donegal, Ireland and his many friends who kept in touch with their thoughts and prayers during his illness.
A visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, 15 Yonge St S, Elmvale ON, on Thursday, November 3, from 9 am – 10:30 am. Funeral Mass at 11 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 106 Yonge St N, Elmvale ON. Afternoon interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Barrie ON.
In lieu of flowers charitable donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Pancreatic Research, Hospice Simcoe, St. Patrick’s/Our Lady of Lourdes Building Fund, or Elmvale and District Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
