Morrison, Ruth Louise – passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the age of 96 years.
Ruth Louise Morrison (nee Nason) of Pembroke, wife of the late Donald Morrison and formerly the wife of the late Calvin Duplisea. Feisty, devoted and loving mother of the late Don Duplisea (Deanna), Fredericton Junction, NB; Stan Duplisea (Penny Trusell and the late Judy), Petawawa; and Doug Duplisea, Smithers, BC. Vocal cheerleader, admired role model and caring Nana of Donita & David Duplisea (Paul Knaga); Stanley Duplisea & Charmaine Lindsay (Yashpal); and Douglas Duplisea. Proud great-grandmother of Marques & Tahleah; Mariah, Willow, Trinity, Brooklyn & Damien; and Devin (Divana), Rayshell & Bunu. Honoured to be a great-great-grandmother of Destiny, Damiara & Dinari. Daughter of the late George & Grace Nason (nee Clifford). Predeceased by brothers Wilfred, Ronald (late Ethel), Arthur and George Irvin Jr. Fondly remembered by extended family, friends, neighbours, Legion Ladies Axillary and fellow sports enthusiasts.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Calvin United Church would be appreciated.
