Obituary of Ruby Mae Tylee
It is with great sadness that we mourn the peaceful passing of Ruby Tylee in her 100th year, on August 6, 2022, at Kilean Lodge in Grimsby. Dearly loved wife of the late Royal Tylee. They were married 70 amazing years. Predeceased by parents Vincent and Carrie Lymburner formerly of Caistor and Smithville. Ruby was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother. Dear mother of Lloyd and his wife Barbara of Grimsby, recently predeceased by son Dennis of Toronto. Remembering her with love are grandchildren Mike, Greg, Brett, and Grace. She will be missed by great grandchildren Shannon, Gage, Madelyn, Morgan, Kienna, Aliyah, Gia, Max, and great, great granddaughter Scarlett. She is survived and lovingly remembered by sister in law Lois Burch as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruby loved everything to do with family and friends. She loved music and could actively sing along with the old hymns right up to her final years. Early in life she developed a passion for flowers and in the 50’s she had a part time business growing and selling African violets. She was a wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, generosity, and laughter. She enjoyed her enormous vegetable garden, euchre parties at the church hall and summers in Halliburton at the family cottage. Ruby was an active member of St. Luke’s Anglican church in Smithville her entire life. Her strong faith and passion of life touched everyone she met. She lived with honesty and integrity and led the St. Luke’s Anglican Church Guild for several decades. She was very good it and people marvelled at her leadership. For the past 8 years she lived at Kilean Lodge in Grimsby where she would often share her sense of human with staff and other residents. She was enthusiastically involved in all activities and loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays. The Family would like to thank the passionate, caring Kilean Lodge staff for all their wonderful care and Support. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at St. Luke’s Anglican Church Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place at a later time.
