Peacefully at the Humber River Hospital on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Michele. Loving mother of Fernando “Fred” (Olga), Frank (Carmela), Agostino (Deborah), Elena Messina, Norma Acri (Steve). Proud Nonna of Carolyn (David), Lisa (John), Michelle (Marcello), Liana (Dan), Marc, Jon, Adam, Michael, Luke and Katie. Cherished Nonnina of Robert, Matteo, Joshua, Madelyn, Sophia and Matthew. Survived by siblings Gabriele Cairo and Irma Stellato. Predeceased by 5 siblings. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A and Italy.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Weston Chapel”, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence) on Friday from 2-9pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, September 10th at 9:30am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
